    • 12:15pm How to train your robot (to enhance engagement) in ROOM A12:15pm - 1:15pmCLICK HERE TO WATCH THE PRESENTATION - Marketing automation has been used in our sector for a long time now with the goal to engage new donors and new email subscribers in preparation for future communications. The problem is, we see the tactic of engaging new donors and subscribers as being underutilized and, much of the time, the strategy and content is under-planned resulting in less-than-interesting engagement and results.

In this session, Matt will take you through a few best practice engagement and nurturing email series examples focusing on the strategy and planning for each and how these related to of the nurturing series of emails. He'll look at real-world case studies of different email engagement and nurturing being used for new donor acquisition, new monthly donor acquisition and new lead generation.

Finally, we will look at what enhanced engagement looks like, using a recent case study of how an organization used AI with a facebook messenger bot in tandem with Engaging Networks marketing automation. The goal was to deepen the understanding around an ongoing refugee crisis while providing an opportunity to instantly interact with the organization and to therefore improve the conversion of these newly acquired email addresses in Facebook.Speakers: Matt Barr

Using everything the tool has to offer (and reaching your goals) is all about putting the right team together. A perfect example is how Firefly Partners has worked with Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF) to ramp up their communication, DIY, and peer-to-peer fundraising efforts. HCF funds the efforts of Huntsman Cancer Institute to better understand and treat cancer, encouraging patients, caregivers, and donors to come together through programs and community outreach. Firefly has worked with HCF on email strategy (including segmentation, automation, and A/B testing), donation form optimization, DIY campaign launch, and customization of peer-to-peer landing and fundraising pages. In this session we’ll provide a case study on all the bells and whistles of Engaging Networks and how your nonprofit can make the most of everything the tool has to offer.Speakers: Jen Frazier, Lesley Beck

    • 2:00pm How to Engage 5 Generations of Donors and Supporters in ROOM B2:00pm - 3:00pmCLICK HERE TO WATCH THE PRESENTATION - We are in the midst of a generational shift: Millennials have recently surpassed Boomers as the largest generation in America, and have surpassed Generation X as the largest sector of the American workforce. By 2025, Millennials will make up 75% of the workforce. As Generation Z enters the workplace, we are bound to see further shifts in generational giving trends.

Due the rapid speed of technological advancement, generation age spans are expected to compress into shorter year ranges and therefore will increase the challenge of how to communicate across an increasing number of generations. You will need an overarching communication strategy to reach these diverse audiences. In this session, we will explore:

-The differences – and similarities – about each generation and how to engage them in P2P fundraising
-Strategies to cut through the communication clutter
-Spotlight on the duality of Millennials
      Speakers: Jacob Miller, Kim Evered

Why include a Facebook share button on your thank you page, when you can just include a checkbox on the form that will share your action while they submit the action form? Providing your users with appropriate and better experiences by extending Engaging Networks with JavaScript, CSS, and the robust APIs can make a difference in your campaigns! We'll review some examples of how you can change your default Engaging Networks forms, increase conversations and engagement, and get the most out of the platform.Speakers: Ira Horowitz
