Engaging Networks, a globally-trusted online fundraising and campaigning platform, has launched a new partnership with Chariot to offer a powerful and efficient Donor Advised Fund payment method for their clients.

Donor Advised Funds are charitable giving accounts that allow donors to set aside funds for charitable purposes and receive immediate tax benefits. More than 2 million Americans now have access to Donor Advised Fund accounts containing over $234 Billion that they are legally required to donate to a 501c3 nonprofit. Funds in these accounts grow tax free to fuel ongoing charitable giving, but donating money out of a DAF can be a lengthy and complicated process for donors. Fortunately, thanks to this innovative partnership between Engaging Networks and Chariot, Engaging Networks clients can now accept Donor Advised Fund gifts directly via the nonprofit organization’s online donation form, in just four clicks!

“DAF giving to nonprofits is already expected to reach $60 billion this year, just in the USA,” says Clint O’Brien, President and COO of Engaging Networks. “But this trend will really take off now that we’re making it easy and frictionless for donors to give DAF funds online. Partnering with Chariot to introduce our new built-in DAF feature is the latest in a long line of flexible fundraising options – along with credit cards, mobile wallets, e-check (ACH) and employer matching gifts – that Engaging Networks clients are using to raise as much money as possible for their important missions.”

Not only is the donor experience greatly improved leading to better conversion, but nonprofits also get instant data for immediate donor stewardship. Engaging Network clients can now identify Donor Advised Fund donors from their very first donation which is a meaningful value add considering the average Donor Advised Fund gift in 2022 was $4,798, making it 24x larger than the average credit card gift.

“Donor Advised Funds are the fastest growing vehicle in philanthropy and we’re so excited to unlock more of this funding for the incredible organizations working with Engaging Networks,” shared Aaron Kahane, Chariot’s Co-founder and COO. “Collaborating with Clint and the rest of the Engaging Networks’ team has been fantastic. Their commitment to innovation for their nonprofits to seamlessly accept DAFs, sets the stage for an exciting giving season.”

With this enhancement (currently available only to the US market), Engaging Networks is expanding its range of payment options, empowering organizations and their supporters with greater flexibility when it comes to supporting charitable initiatives.
