About ENCC-X 2021

About ENCC-X 2021

ENCC-X is our Engaging Networks Community Conference in digital form!
6 & 7 October 2021 – Online

For years, we’ve hosted our annual Community Conference in five locations across the globe. These ENCCs bring together our clients, partners and staff to explore the Engaging Networks platform and to hear how leading non-profits are using our tools to successfully raise more money and win more campaigns.

Our next online event takes place 6 & 7 October 2021 and is hosted by our U.S. office.

Wednesday October 6, 2021 – 9.45am – 5.00pm (EDT)
Thursday October 7, 2021 – 9.45am – 5.00pm (EDT)
Please note the conference takes place on U.S. Eastern timezone.

Tickets are $75.00 per person

Sessions

ENCC-X brings you 2 days of online case studies, product workshops, panel discussions from our clients, partners, friends and the Engaging Networks team.

With this being our second year of digital events and our desire to continuously improve, we have been thinking about what is missing when we don’t meet in-person. The main loss seems to be the connections and conversations that you get to have with your peers. So, we’ve decided to use ENCC this year to create more space for this.

Alongside two days of online Case Studies and Product Workshops, we launch Community Conversations – a new participatory conference track, allowing our clients and partners to meet and learn from one another. Guided by our expert Facilitator, we take you through a series of workshop-style sessions on the topics that matter most to you. You’ll feel…almost…like you’re back in a pre-pandemic world. Join us!

You will have the option to purchase a Conversations ticket or a General ticket, both are priced the same.

Those that choose a Conversations ticket will be connected with 4-5 other attendees. You’ll meet with this group for break outs and participatory workshops during the conference.

Instead, if you would like to simply attend the conference, hear the excellent case studies, and attend the product workshops, the General ticket is for you.

His approach is grounded in the ethos of people power: that at the right time, with the right people, and with the right tools, big systemic change is possible.

Ben Childers
Engaging Networks

Ben Childers

Senior Director of Global Client Success

Ben’s first exposure to nonprofit work was helping his dad at charity golf events. He was one of those kids helping folks park their cars, get their carts, and find their balls when they didn’t quite hit the green. Since that time, he has been doing what he could to make the world a better place.

He started out working as a lifeguard when in high school. Then, after college, went on to substitute teach in Columbus Public Schools and Kent City Schools for three years. In 2011, he moved out to Tucson, Arizona, where he received his Masters in Education and spent three years teaching high school mathematics. It was during this time that he started to work more with nonprofit organizations. He did work with Voices for Education – helping them in 2011 deploy a coherent social media strategy. He also volunteered for numerous political campaigns and helped the Artifact Dance Company build out their major gift program and technical backend to support their giving program, ticketing system, and store.

After seven years of teaching, Ben wanted to see what would be available outside the classroom. He then started working for the University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) Development team. For the first six months, he did data management (Raiser’s Edge), prospecting, and worked with the stewardship and cultivation teams. He then moved on to be a major gift officer, soliciting gifts between $25,000 and $250,000 to support student scholarships, cutting-edge research, and basic science innovations. Ben learned the ropes of fundraising with UAHS and then had an opportunity to apply those skills working with the Sabin Vaccine Institute, in Washington, DC, to help them build out a major gift program and to rebuild their database (Salesforce).

Ben currently works for Engaging Networks as their Senior Director of Global Client Success. He leads a team of folks at Engaging Networks that work with nonprofits on their supporter engagement and digital strategy around fundraising, advocacy, and email marketing. He spends his time making sure that clients can take advantage of a robust eCRM platform. He also works to ensure that clients understand how their technology stack works together to allow them to raise more money, get more clicks, and push out more advocacy actions.

Ben brings a technology-first mindset to much of his work. He works to help clients realize that their digital strategy is most valuable when it permeates all parts of an organization.

When not helping out clients, Ben enjoys spending time with his partner, two dogs, and a cat at their place in South Arlington. You can probably find him running throughout our city most mornings. He is also working towards his MBA through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign — focusing on Global Challenges in Business & Strategic Leadership and Management.

Max Zimmer

Developer, Cornershop Creative

Max got his start in code through an introductory website class in the seventh grade and quickly developed a passion for it. Almost immediately, he began programming his TI-83 calculator to perform various tasks required for his Physics class. Of course, his teacher found out, and Max was not allowed to take the test with his shiny new program.

Max has held jobs in real estate, accounting, and operations, but code has always been a part of his life. An introduction to WordPress was all that was needed to spark a permanent career move to web development. While freelancing, he developed impactful WordPress websites for local businesses in his hometown of Portland, OR. Max also built specialized plugins to solve workflow issues he identified within design applications. Cornershop is now the place he happily calls “home”. When not studying or writing code, Max enjoys archery, hiking, and karaoke with his partner, Nina.
