We are delighted to mark our return to live events with the next ENCC U.K. in May. Bringing together our clients, partners and staff we’ll gather in London for 2 vibrant days of Case Studies, Product Workshops, Panels & Talks to hear how leading non-profits are using our tools to successfully raise more money and win more campaigns.
We are focussing on the opportunity to learn from one another and connect after the long hiatus, with plenty of time to network and engage in participatory sessions if you wish to.
This will be a hybrid event. We encourage you to join in person for the full experience. The event will be streamed live online for those who are unable to attend.

Michael has 20 years experience with email marketing, digital communications and the internal workings of large non-profit organisations.
He has worked for Greenpeace International as a Digital Mobilization Specialist, was Director of Online Giving at ANERA and a Membership Analyst for the Human Rights Campaign.
And now Michael is an Engaging Networks Account Success Manager helping a wide array of clients make the most of Engaging Networks, so they can raise awareness, engage their supporters and increase funds to further their missions.
Tom Barns is Director of Income & Engagement at War on Want where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fundraising and public engagement. Tom has previously worked for a range of other charities and campaigning organisations with a particular focus on supporter mobilisation and online fundraising. Tom is also a co-founder/trustee of legal support and education charity called the Article Trust.
Having gotten his start organizing with anti-war veterans and working as Sala Labs, Sales Engineer and Partner Manager, Bryan now brings his expertise to non-profit and mission-driven clients as 4Site Studios Director of Digital Strategy. Specializing in challenging and complex projects, Bryan works with each client to craft holistic approaches tailored to goals, budget, and outcomes.
Ben’s first exposure to nonprofit work was helping his dad at charity golf events. He was one of those kids helping folks park their cars, get their carts, and find their balls when they didn’t quite hit the green. Since that time, he has been doing what he could to make the world a better place.
He started out working as a lifeguard when in high school. Then, after college, went on to substitute teach in Columbus Public Schools and Kent City Schools for three years. In 2011, he moved out to Tucson, Arizona, where he received his Masters in Education and spent three years teaching high school mathematics. It was during this time that he started to work more with nonprofit organizations. He did work with Voices for Education – helping them in 2011 deploy a coherent social media strategy. He also volunteered for numerous political campaigns and helped the Artifact Dance Company build out their major gift program and technical backend to support their giving program, ticketing system, and store.
After seven years of teaching, Ben wanted to see what would be available outside the classroom. He then started working for the University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) Development team. For the first six months, he did data management (Raiser’s Edge), prospecting, and worked with the stewardship and cultivation teams. He then moved on to be a major gift officer, soliciting gifts between $25,000 and $250,000 to support student scholarships, cutting-edge research, and basic science innovations. Ben learned the ropes of fundraising with UAHS and then had an opportunity to apply those skills working with the Sabin Vaccine Institute, in Washington, DC, to help them build out a major gift program and to rebuild their database (Salesforce).
Ben currently works for Engaging Networks as their Senior Director of Global Client Success. He leads a team of folks at Engaging Networks that work with nonprofits on their supporter engagement and digital strategy around fundraising, advocacy, and email marketing. He spends his time making sure that clients can take advantage of a robust eCRM platform. He also works to ensure that clients understand how their technology stack works together to allow them to raise more money, get more clicks, and push out more advocacy actions.
Ben brings a technology-first mindset to much of his work. He works to help clients realize that their digital strategy is most valuable when it permeates all parts of an organization.
When not helping out clients, Ben enjoys spending time with his partner, two dogs, and a cat at their place in South Arlington. You can probably find him running throughout our city most mornings. He is also working towards his MBA through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign — focusing on Global Challenges in Business & Strategic Leadership and Management.
Anna Chowcat is the Digital Manager at Refuge and oversees the charity’s digital function and output. Since joining Refuge, Anna has been instrumental in introducing a number of digital engagement programmes including digital campaigns, bespoke email supporter journeys and user friendly donate/campaign pages. Before joining Refuge, she has worked in digital engagement and campaign roles at The Labour Party and Leonard Cheshire Disability.
Rachel founded the specialist charity web agency, Rechord, in 1999. Between 1999 and 2012 they created hundreds of different web applications for organisations in the UK and internationally.
In 2013 she became the ‘Donor Whisperer’ and focused on helping small to medium-sized non-profits to reach new donors and activists and from there increase their income. She uses a unique process that combines the benefits of consultancy with capacity building.
Her clients include Traidcraft Exchange, the Overseas Development Institute, Jubilee Debt Coalition, the Leprosy Mission of England and Wales, Tax Justice UK, The Canary, Humanity and Inclusion, the Anti-Tribalism Movement, BRACE, New Family Social, Arseh Sevom – and that’s just the last year.
She also feels weird writing about herself in the third person.
James has worked in the sector for 15 years in a range of data and insight roles. Prior to that he worked in financial recruitment. He combines expertise in data architecture, insight and customer service with a background in psychology and now leads an Engagement Operations team, seeking to streamline business processes and deliver personalised experiences for everyone who supports Sense.
Anthony has worked in the sector for over 15 years. Starting out as a database marketing manager for an international development charity where he was responsible for the development of their Raiser’s Edge database as an effective fundraising and marketing tool; responsible for the improvement of business processes, the training of users and the analysis of their supporter and financial data.
Anthony’s database management skills are complimented by knowledge and experience in the fields of data integration, training, software development, analytics and direct mail.
Eugene is an award winning digital campaigner and has been delivering winning digital campaigns for 20 years. His background is in user experience strategy, design and optimisation. He has helped Engaging Networks partners boost their online income from between 80% and 300% using tried and tested UX and persuasion design principles. He presents regularly at Engaging Networks conferences on topics such as persuasion design, automated marketing and integrating advocacy with fundraising.
Corin comes from a non-profit background, having worked at War on Want for several years managing their supporter database, website and designs of their fundraising appeals. After a couple of years hard graft in the Engaging Networks Client Support team, he moved to help manage accounts and onboardings for clients in the UK, Europe and Australia.
Angharad is Senior Campaigns Officer at the MS Society focusing mainly on our work on welfare, employment and access to treatments. She has previously worked for other charities including the Fairtrade Foundation and Age UK in similar roles. In her spare time she likes swimming in a cold lake and dutifully caring for her houseplants.
Sadie manages supporter communications at Dignity in Dying, leading campaigns and fundraising activities via email and direct mail. She delivered a diverse roster of mass campaign activities around the Meacher Bill in 2021, increasing supporter participation in online and in real life lobbying.
Georgie has been campaigning for the last 10 years and specialises in campaigning with and for people with lived experience of an issue.
She was named in Glamour’s “51 most empowering Nu-Gen activists you need to know about right now” and has won the Shelia McKechine Foundation’s “Best Campaign Coalition” award.
Georgie has worked on a whole range of campaigns from grassroots hyper local organising through to huge public facing campaigns with corporate partners and Government departments. She is currently Campaigns Manager for the Crime Not Compliment Campaign at Plan International U.K.
My name is Matt (short for Matthew but please only call me that if I’m in trouble!). I’m from Merseyside, England and live on a peninsula called “The Wirral”. I joined Engaging Networks as a Client Support Specialist in June 2021 and I’m absolutely loving it here so far.
My background is in media, ranging from voice acting on a local radio station to creating short films and documentaries. Other previous roles include working for a crowdfunding company and helping onboard new clients. I helped create personalised branding for their websites and social media as well as offering support for e-commerce. I then went on to support kiosk software for one of the biggest photo retailers in the UK, which is how I ended up falling in love with all things software related and started developing my ability for problem solving.
I’m always striving to support our clients and partners in any way I can, from answering support tickets, to providing Q&A sessions about the platform and best practices.

Beth works on strategy and at Forward Action, leading on impactful digital mobilisation programmes for a wide range of progressive organisations.
David is the director of fundraising and marketing at Dignity in Dying, the campaigning organisation working to change the law to allow assisted dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults in the UK. Since 2012 he has been leading on their public mobilisation and communication campaigns in support of legislative change on the issue.
Alex Proniewicz-Brooks has worked in the charity sector for over 12 years covering a range of database roles including insight. She is currently Database Manager at Sense looking to have reliable data flows.
Over 7 years experience working in digital marketing in both the charity and publishing sector.
At my current role at St Mungo’s, I lead email marketing and video production in the digital fundraising team.
Camille is team lead for the UK Tier 1 Client Support team and has been with Engaging Networks for 3 years. Prior to this she worked in the technology department for a funding opportunity publication, and before that in the support team for social housing associations in London.
Glyn Thomas is a digital strategist and web developer. He built his first website in 1997 and has been working in digital communications since 2002.
For the past 12 years, Glyn has almost exclusively worked with charities and non-profit organisations. Almost all the projects he works on are focused around campaigning, fundraising or supporter recruitment, and often a mixture of all three.
Now based in Berlin, Glyn works with organisations in the UK, Europe and North America.
I’m the Policy and Campaigns Officer for the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, leading on their public safety and online harms work. Having completed an MA in Gender, Society and Representation in which I specialised in gender and counterterrorism, I have a deep understanding of women’s safety and public policy.
