8 Feature Updates to Increase Your End-of-Year Fundraising

Contents

Out with the old and in with the new! New Years is all about new beginnings but, before we say “Hello” to 2022 let’s make sure you’ve taken advantage of all our 2021 updates and features. We wouldn’t want you ringing in the new year without the latest and greatest, now, would we?

This summarized list of features is based on client feedback from ENCC and quarterly check-ins. To see all of our 2021 updates, check the links at the bottom of this article.

1. Double the Donation Integration

For clients in North America, if you want to increase donations to support your lifesaving work– look no further! Now, you can seamlessly integrate Double the Donation’s 360MatchPro integration which allows organizations to easily facilitate corporate matching gifts from individual supporters’ employers. See how Earth Island Institute and Fenway Health use this new feature.

Want to set it up? Check out our supportal for more information. Heads up, you’ll need a 360MatchPro account to activate the matching gift functionality within Engaging Networks.

2. Processing ‘Fee Cover’ Option

Nothing is worse than giving up your hard-earned donations to fees– now, you don’t have to! You can easily include a processing ‘Fee Cover’ option on all of your forms and there’s no coding required. All you’ll need to do is decide what percentage or amount of fee you want to add to the transaction and you’ll simply add the pre-populated field to your form. Easy peasy. Follow these easy steps here and start saving money.

3. Zoom Integration

Meet one of our most useful integrations during the pandemic– our Zoom integration! With this integration, you’ll be able to sync your Zoom Webinars with event pages and host your data all in one place. You’ll be able to automatically push the first and last name and email address of registrants to Zoom and collect back the ‘attendee’ status in your Events reporting. You’ll never have to take attendance again!

4. Event Module Updates

We’ve also made a few updates to our events module to help make you and your supporters’ (and your team members’) lives easier. Now, you can create tickets with split receipting in order to properly indicate the fair market value of the associated ticket and issue a tax receipt according to the tax-eligible donation amount. Follow the steps here to set it up, and we hope you’ll enjoy all the incoming accolades from your finance team. And, if you have the same event often you can save yourself time with reoccurring events.

Lastly, your supporters will never miss an event again with our new event reminders and add to calendar features.

5. Supporter Hub

You’re about to learn Engaging Networks’ best kept secret– The Supporter Hub. This mighty tool allows your supporters to log into their own personal account at any time. From the Hub, supporters can update their personal information, such as their name and address, and amend them if they wish. They can also check their subscriptions and opt in or out to them giving them control over the content they receive, saving your team valuable time managing subscriptions. And, if you want, they can also manage their monthly donations putting your constituents in charge of their own data. They can even see updates on their overall impact. While this tool isn’t new, a lot of organizations don’t know about it and we’ve recently updated some powerful new features to it.

Now, content can be customized using Conditional Content for Profiles, and may be used similarly to conditional content available in Page Builder. Now you’ll be able to share content specific to the individual supporter for a personalized experience. We’ve also just launched Supporter Hub page quick reports and queries to see performance and target supporters accordingly based on activity in the Hub, including volume of page logins, updates made to personal details, recurring donations, and opt-ins, as well as additional donations made through the Hub.

6. Vantiv – partial refunds are now available

Do you have the Vantiv payment gateway? If so, partial refunds are now available. If you don’t have Vantiv, stay tuned for specific payment gateway updates coming your way. And hey, check out another one below.

7. ACH in the Payflow Pro Gateway

This has been a long time coming– ACH is now accepted in the Payflow Pro Gateway! Reach out to your account manager to receive documentation to get this up and running.

And we’ve saved the best for last . . .

8. AWS migration

Engaging Networks has moved to an AWS hosting environment. This move will allow for
improved network monitoring, greater flexibility, enhanced network redundancy and additional data security. AWS will also enable us to continue scaling up in a more agile and cloud-centric way, to better serve our growing community of clients worldwide. We also will gain enhanced stability and reliability, especially on high-traffic fundraising days.

There’s always something new at Engaging Networks! Stay abreast by reaching out to your Account Manager (maybe it’s me!?) or support team to make sure you’re signed up for email notifications. You’ll want to make sure you’re on the list so you don’t miss out on all of our new exciting updates in 2022 which include new email builder functionalities, SMS campaigns, and peer-to-peer version 3.
