Did you know that our software can take form data submitted by activists and donors, compare the information to filters set up in the software, and then re-direct a supporter to a different action if the data matches a filter? The filters can be based on form field content, the politician that represents the supporter, the biographical information about the supporter’s local politicians, and even question responses. By using any of these filters, you are instantly increasing messaging personalization and effectiveness through customization with minimal effort.
It’s possible to filter supporters by the form field content they enter. For example, send supporters from ‘British Columbia’ to an action specific to their province.
When using contact validation, filtering is based on the political constituency or district of the supporter. For example, supporters living in a particular constituency can be re-directed to an action or message intended for the political contact in those constituencies.
Try the contact data filter to re-direct supporters based on the biographical data associated with the political contact. An organization may want to set a filter based on the contact’s political party (Liberal, Conservative, Republican, Democrat, and so on) and thus have a specific message template depending on that party. For instance, if the Liberal Party already supports your issue you may want supporters to submit a note of thanks, and if the Conservative Party doesn’t support the issue you may want the message to urge them to support the issue.
Finally, get creative with question response filters. First, create a question you would like to filter against, and then select which response will direct them to which action or message template. Have you ever thought about directing your supporters to specific message templates associated with their demographics, such as their age group? The question filter would enable you to do just this—specific messaging tied to how your supporter responds to a question.
Re-direct and filter is a simple way to optimize your messaging based on either supporter details or contact details—give it a try! Feel free to contact our offices with any questions...
