On the first Monday of every month, we run open training sessions for any client wanting to drop into our London office. Whether you are new to an organisation and want a complete overview or whether you’ve started using a new software feature and have some specific questions, we have sessions to suit you.
Our two client support staff will run sessions concurrently at 10am and 3pm, with each session lasting approximately two hours. Places are strictly on a first come first serve basis.
Please contact us if you would like to attend an upcoming training session, letting us know what features you’d like to focus on. We’ll then let you know the times that we have available.
There will be two generic sessions (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), which are suitable for new staff members wanting a software overview and two specific sessions on certain software features - the topics covered will be flexible, and will be based on what requests have come through in that month. Please note that this is a shared session and runs on a first come first served basis.
Next Session: 11th June
with Marta and Dan
Morning : 10am - 12am
Campaigning
This session will focus on our campaigning software and we’ll discuss how you can create campaigns to ‘best practice’. The session will cover; the basics on how to create and duplicate a campaign, how to use ‘action redirect’ to link campaigns together and look at some more of the advanced features we have which allow you to pull ‘dynamic content’ into the messages that you are sending to the campaign target(s).
Please note that this session is not held at our London office but at a hired venue.
Broadcast email service
This session will cover all aspects of our broadcast email service including details on how to; create and send segmented emails, use our ‘templating’ technology to drag and drop content into place, get greater open rates with conditional content, set up a ‘trigger’ series to automate emails to groups of your supporters, use ‘split testing’ to see which types of email work best for you and run through the reporting tools we have on offer.

Data management
This session will focus on our data management tools, with particular focus on how to: export and import data, use tracking parameters to add value to your campaigns, profile your supporters, use our customisable data API which allows you transfer data automatically from our servers to your own and generally manage your supporter data in your Engaging Networks account.
Fundraising
More and more of our clients are now using our software for fundraising as well as campaigning. If you are interested in finding out more or you’re already using the tool but want to see what other features are available, then you’ll find this session useful. We will cover: the different payment gateways that are available, discussing the benefits and application of each. We will then cover the basics of creating a donation page and look at the different ways to set up form fields to help streamline the donation process.
Note: In order to process donations through the Engaging Networks software, you need to have a merchant account with one of the ‘payment gateways’ we work with. Please see the fundraising pages of our software for more information.
Social
To help your online community grow, we have developed unique widget technology so that any campaign can be pulled into any destination on the social web. Our technology helps to connect engaged supporters wherever they happen to be on the Internet. This session will cover the use, type and application of widgets with details on how to create, customise and embed them on any site. Widgets can be customised using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) so if you are in the ‘new media’ team and want to focus on the more advanced ‘styling’ options, we’ll look at this too.
Please contact us if you would like to attend an upcoming training session, letting us know what features you’d like to focus on. We’ll then let you know the times that we have available.
